About Kost Plumbing

Hi, I'm Thomas Kost—owner and operator of Kost Plumbing, proudly serving the residents and businesses of Marion, Lake, Sumter, and Alachua Counties. We're based out of Reddick, FL, and proudly provide top-notch plumbing and handyman services across Ocala, The Villages® community, Belleview, Dunnellon, Silver Springs, Summerfield, and the surrounding areas.

My journey began over 30 years ago on Florida’s Gulf Coast, installing and repairing water softener systems. I later moved to North Carolina, where I worked under a licensed plumber at a large construction company. That experience taught me not just the ins and outs of plumbing, but also gave me a solid foundation in carpentry—we did a little bit of everything!

After 12 years in the mountains, I felt it was time to come home to North Central Florida. I earned my State of Florida Plumbing License in 2011 and launched Kost Plumbing. We’re a small, family-minded business that takes pride in providing honest, reliable service at a fair price. Our top priority is—and always will be—excellent customer care.

The heart of our business is our amazing customers and the referrals they send our way. Nothing helps us grow more than word-of-mouth from happy clients. When someone shares the great experience they had with Kost Plumbing, it means the world to us and keeps us doing what we love.

On a personal note, I’ve been married to my wonderful wife for over 30 years, and we have two amazing daughters, both proud graduates of North Marion High School. When I’m not working, I love spending time outdoors with my family—boating, fishing, hiking, or swimming. My wife works with animals, so our home is full of pets, big and small—there’s never a dull moment at the Kost house!
